MEET THE BGNN TEAM Luke Riffle, 9-year-old meteorologist

About Luke Riffle

Barberton Gazette & Norton News meteorologist

Luke Riffle, 9, is in the fourth grade at Barberton Intermediate School.
“I have been interested in weather since I was 4 years old,” he said. “I did my first weather video when I was 4. I have been on Cleveland 19 News with Jeff Tanchak once live and did the forecast, and many times with videos and pictures.
“I am always tracking the weather, I do local and a lot of other states. I send messages to my family in other states when bad weather is heading towards them.”
Riffle said he loves history and playing sports, as well.
“I like to play basketball, soccer and video games,” he said. “I look forward to forecasting the weather for Barberton and Norton.”
