Irene Evelyn Reynolds, 99

Irene Evelyn Reynolds passed away on March 6, 2025.
Irene was born in Barberton, Ohio on June 16, 1925, to John Wilbur
Zeigler and Mildred B Zeigler. She was raised as an only child in
Barberton and graduated from Barberton High School in 1943. She and
her husband, Samuel John, raised four children and were life-long
members of St. Augustine Catholic Church. Irene’s life was devoted to
her husband, children, grandchildren and great granddaughters. Her
wisdom and caring guidance provided a foundation for each family
member’s life. We were blessed.
Irene was preceded in death by her parents and husband. She is
survived by her daughter, Barbara (Jeffrey Finley) of Doylestown; and
sons James (Sherrill) of Morro Bay, CA., John of Barberton, and Samuel J.
(Cynthia) of Clinton: grandchildren Sara Finley of Portland Oregon,
Jessica Finley of Stow; Samuel J (Lovelle) of Chicago, James (Jenna) of
Brooktondale NY and five great granddaughters.
The family thanks FirstLight HomeCare of Akron and especially Angela
Hill for their special care of our Mom.
A memorial mass was held on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at St
Augustine Church, 204 6 th Street N.W. Barberton, OH 44203. Donations
may be made to St. Augustine Church in Irene’s name.
