Eric Richard Dean, 58

Eric Richard Dean, 58, left his earthly body and went home to heaven July 9, 2026 at Wadsworth-Rittman Medical Center with his wife, Emily, holding his hand.

Eric was born in Wadsworth July 5, 1968 to Richard and Connie Dean.

He was a 1989 graduate of Wadsworth High School and a graduate of Hamrick Truck Driving School. Eric was a truck driver for more than 30 years traveling to 47 states and Canada. He was a member of Park United Methodist Church in Akron.

He loved motorcycles, deer hunting, nature, history and was a big fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Ohio State Buckeyes. More importantly, he had a kind and gentle heart and was a fiercely loyal friend who could see the good in people in a non-judgmental way.

He and Emily recently celebrated their 24th wedding anniversary. They loved taking trips to the beach, seeing musicals together and just hanging out with their fur babies.

Eric is preceded in death by his father, Richard Dean.

He is survived by his wife, Emily; his mother, Connie; brothers Shane and Ryan (Jennifer); niece Mary; nephew Nick; and mother-in-law and father-in-law Marty and Jim Canning.

Visiting hours will be Thursday July 16 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Auble-Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N Lyman St. Wadsworth. A service will follow at 7 p.m.
