Main Street Barberton Second Saturday events begin May 11

Main Street Barberton has had a busy few months with Sip ‘N’ Paint workshops, a scavenger hunt, monthly cleanups and more. This Saturday, head downtown for the first Second Saturday and “Build a Bouquet” for mom or another loved one.

BARBERTON Main Street Barberton has the lineup scheduled for Second Saturday events for the remainder of 2024 and these engaging community gatherings, which aim to celebrate local culture and foster a sense of togetherness, promise something unique and memorable for residents and visitors alike, according to a news release
Here’s a sneak peek at what’s in store:
• May 11 – Celebrating Mother’s Day: Join us downtown to “Build a Bouquet” for mom at nine locations throughout downtown Barberton. Children will be able to create beautiful custom cards and make a craft for mom.
• June 8 – Arts & Music Festival: Experience live music, local artists’ and support our vibrant community. We will also have talented vendors showcasing homemade jewelry, paintings, and more!
• July 13 – Tourist in Your Own Town: Discover the hidden gems and unique attractions of Barberton as we encourage residents to become tourists in their own backyard.
• Aug. 10 – Field/Game Day: Get ready for some friendly competition and outdoor fun with a variety of games and activities for families and friends to enjoy together.
• Sept. 14 – Scavenger Hunt: Embark on an exciting adventure through the streets of Barberton as you solve clues and uncover treasures hidden throughout the city.
• Oct. 12 – Fall Festival: Embrace the beauty of the autumn season with a festive celebration featuring fall activities, seasonal treats, and more.
• Nov. 9 – Thanksgiving Fun: Come together with neighbors and friends to give thanks and enjoy a day filled with gratitude, delicious food, and heartwarming activities.
• Dec. 14 – Candlelight Walk: Experience the magic of the holiday season with an enchanting candlelight stroll through downtown Barberton, complete with festive decorations and live entertainment.
“We are thrilled to present this exciting lineup of Second Saturday events, which showcase the diversity and vibrancy of our community,” Melanie Black-Amato, executive director at Main Street Barberton, said in the news release. “These gatherings offer the perfect opportunity for residents to come together, connect with one another, and create lasting memories right here in our own backyard.”
