Timothy J. Horvath, 82

Timothy J. Horvath, 82, passed away Friday, May 24, 2024, in Port Charlotte, FL.  He was born in Akron, OH November 6, 1941, to parents Joe and Liz Horvath and grew up in Barberton, OH.

He was an avid sports fan cheering on all the local teams especially the Indians/ Guardians.  He played fast pitch softball and later slow pitch until he was unable to play anymore.  He started working at Acme Fresh Markets as a teenager climbing his way up to a vice president position and retiring after 40 plus years.

He is proceeded in death by his parents, sister-in-law, Barb Horvath and brother in- law, Tom Matulin.  He is survived by his wife of over 60 years, Pat (Kemp), son, Tim and daughter, Pam along with sister, Matilda and brother, Jim.  He will be missed by many sister in-laws, brother in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at Hope Lutheran Church 999 Portage Lakes Dr. Akron, OH 44319 with a Celebration of Life Sunday, August 4,2024 10:30 AM-1:30 PM at Nauti Vine Winery 3950 South Main St. Akron, OH 44319.
