Daniel L. Carneal Sr., 76
Daniel Carneal, 76, loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, passed away Sunday, August 18, 2024.
He was born Wednesday, April 21, 1948 to the late Benjamin and Ruth (Long) Carneal and lived in the Barberton area all of his life. Dan retired from the City of Barberton Fire Department after 26 years of service. He was honorably discharged from the US Navy. Dan loved golf, travel, and following the grandchildren’s sports and interests.
In addition to his parents, Daniel was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Ilene Carneal; sisters, Margie McGee, Rena Heyneman, Rose Saxton, Dolly Patrick, Shirley Carneal; and brothers, James and Bland Carneal.
He is survived by his daughter, Kimberly (Steven) Kaisk; son, Daniel (Kathleen) Carneal Jr.; grandchildren, Macy, Morgan (Thor), Makenzie, Malaina, Jayce; great-grandchildren, Zaeden, Rowan; brothers, Jerry Carneal, Benjamin Carneal; sister-in-law, Sophie Logan; and many other loving family and friends.
Visitation was on Saturday, August 24, 2024, followed by a funeral service at 12 p.m. Dan’s final resting place will be Greenlawn Memorial Park.
The family would like to thank the health care providers at Barberton Hospital, Hospice and Palliative Care 1 East, for the compassionate care given to their father.
