Robert “Bob” T. Porter, age 86

Robert “Bob” T. Porter, age 86, of Clinton, Ohio, joined his savior in heaven on
September 20, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Born on August 13,1938, in
Buena Vista, Ohio, Bob loved God and his family and was a trustee at Living Hope
Christian Fellowship in Canton, Ohio.

After attending Jefferson Union High School, Bob moved to Barberton, Ohio, in 1953
and graduated from Barberton High School in 1956. Bob worked at as a salesman and
installer at Weather Seal and then retired from B&C Machine as Personnel Director
where he hired and counseled many area residents, several of whom became lifelong
friends.

An avid Browns, Cavs, Guardians and Buckeyes fan, Bob loved hunting and fishing,
taking yearly trips with his family to the Trent River in Ontario, Canada, where he taught
his children and his grandchildren how to fish. As much as he loved these things, his
greater joy was teaching his family about Jesus and sharing his faith with everyone he
knew.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Carolsue (nee Kemp); his children: Matt
(Sonya), Tim (Jamie), Kathy Fogle (Eric) and Drew (Gina); his beloved grandchildren:
Christine, Jonathan, Elisha, Brad, Michael, Matthew, Erica, Brandon, Nick and Mila; and
8 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters: Sandy Ward, Kim Grimmer;
brother, Tony Caruso; sister-in-law, Patricia Horvath; brother-in-law and sister-in-law:
Mike and Barbara Dalessandro; brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Jack and Kathy Kemp;
and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Bob was preceded in death by his father, Robert “Bud” Porter; mother, Mary Caruso,
Sr.; father-in-law, Kasmer “Kim” Kemp; mother-in-law, Rose Kemp; granddaughter,
Samantha Fogle; sisters: Yvonne Sapp and Mary Caruso, Jr.; and brother-in-law, Tim
Horvath.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, from 5:00 to 8:00
p.m. and again 1 hour prior to the funeral service to be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday,
September 26, 2024, at Cox-McNulty Funeral Home, with Pastor Mark Anthony
officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to BACM in his
memory.

Bob’s humor, willingness to help with home improvement projects and love will be
deeply missed but forever cherished by all who knew him.
