Patricia Ann Pressler, 90
Patricia Ann Pressler, age 90, of Delaware, passed away Tuesday evening, September 17, 2024, following a decline in health over the past several months.
She was born on February 8, 1934, in Dayton, Ohio to the late John and Martha (O’Rourke) Riggs. Patricia moved to Delaware in 2018 from the Barberton/Wadsworth area, where she had resided most of her life with her late husband of 61 years Dr. Wayne H. Pressler, DDS. She enjoyed restoring their old farmhouse in Wadsworth, a home she loved and where she was happiest.
A homemaker, her life centered on her family. She was a longtime member of the Grace UCC of Loyal Oak, where she also taught Sunday school. She was a member and former President of the Crescent Club of Barberton, a member of the Barberton/Norton Peace Group, and a longtime supporter of the Barberton Athletic Programs. Patricia also tutored reading at Memorial Grade School in Barberton.
She enjoyed needlework, antiquing, and gardening. Strong-willed, she was smart and at times feisty.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, David (Marci) Pressler of Mt. Vernon, Elizabeth (Jerry) Kremer of Delaware, and Jonathan (Amy) Pressler of North Carolina; grandchildren, Nathan (Alayna), Cori (James), Emily, Timothy (Natalie), Abigail (Alex), Melissa (Ruud), William, Nicholas and Maria; great-grandchildren, Mya, Peyton, Jocelyn, Michael, Jared, Noah, Ava, and Elodie; and sister Nancy Stautzenbach.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Wayne H. Pressler, DDS in 2018, her daughter-in-law, Cindy, and granddaughter, Sarah Pressler.
Memorial Services for Patricia are being held Saturday, October 5, 2024, at 11:00 am at Zion United Church of Christ, 51 West Central Ave., Delaware, Ohio 43015. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Snyder-Rodman Funeral Center in Delaware.
