Margaret E. Denning, 77

Barberton — Margaret E Denning, age 77, of Barberton, passed away on,  Thursday, September 19, 2024, at Barberton Citizens Hospital, following a period of declining health.

Margaret was born on September 11, 1947, in Akron, Ohio, to the late Henry and Katherine (Papp) Smith and graduated from Wadsworth High School in 1966.

She worked as a machinist for J. R. Engineering for 25 years, retiring in 2008.

Margaret was a member of Norton Grace Brethren Church.  She enjoyed watching old movies, playing sports like softball and bowling while growing up.  During her time at J.R., she was the one everyone came to when they had a problem.  She cherished spending time with her family.

Surviving are son, Kalman Denning of Orrville; daughter, Beth (Mason Cain) Denning of Barberton; two grandchildren, Diana (Andrew) Denning, and Sam (Rhys) Denning; three siblings, Jesse (Cathy) Smith of Wadsworth, Eva (Dick) Buhite of Wadsworth,  and Linda “Lou” Demiter of Creston.

She was preceded in death by sibling, Henry Smith; and daughter-in-law, Tonya Dawn Denning.

Friends may call on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at Auble Funeral Home, 512 East Oak Street, Orrville, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.

Memorial services will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, at Auble Funeral Home, 512 East Oak Street, Orrville. Private burial of ashes will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Wadsworth.
