FROM THE PUBLISHER’S DESK: Seasonal message from the Immlers

We would like to thank you for supporting your local newspaper. Whether you are a reader or an advertiser, the newspaper does not exist without all of you!
I can’t express my gratitude enough for helping us continue the tradition of having a local newspaper to record the everyday happenings in Barberton, Norton and the surrounding communities.
As much as I can appreciate social media and the web, unfortunately that information is not necessarily accurate and can disappear at the press of a button. It definitely has its place in informing all of us but for archives that you can look back on for years, the newspaper is the typical “go-to.” Our archives can be retrieved on our website and in the future will also be found at the public library.
We are already into our second year of publication and it’s been fun reconnecting with our old “stomping grounds.” One thing that never ceases to amaze us is the generosity and kindness in the community. The outreach for people in need is really something special and I can assure you it’s not that way everywhere. It’s a blessing I hope you can all appreciate.
As we move forward, we will continue to improve the newspaper with added features and more stories. We will start public opinion surveys on our website after the first of the year to get a better idea of the public’s opinions on various topics. We welcome your “Letters to the Editor” and would love to hear from you. If you have any suggestions to improve the newspaper, please feel free to send me an email at: Barberton [email protected].
From my family to yours, we would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Best of luck moving forward and if the Barberton Gazette can help you in any way, please reach out to us!
