“The question is whether you were lying then or are you lying now?”

One of the greatest courtroom dramas ever comes to Barberton stage

BGNN staff report

BARBERTON  Magical Theatre Company, Northeast Ohio’s professional resident and touring theatre for young audiences and families, continues the season with one of the first and still greatest courtroom dramas ever, “Witness for the Prosecution.” An electric and ingeniously crafted mystery, according to a news release.

A wealthy woman is found murdered and there is only one real suspect: her handsome, charming, and much younger gentleman friend. Yes, he has a motive, but did he actually do it?
Due to a strict no-spoilers policy, we can’t answer that question. But we can tell you is the play is full of clever twists, passion, deceit, and shocking testimony. This sensational play is not to be missed.

Written by the “Queen of Mystery,” Agatha Christie, this play is directed by Dennis O’Connell and features a large cast of professional actors including Steve Boardman of Hudson, Noah Casino of Akron, Dimitri Georgiadis of Wadsworth, Hallie Heffernan of New York City, Adam Hoffman of Cuyahoga Falls, Amanda Kidd of Kent, Deb Lemire of Cuyahoga Falls, Zoe McConaha of Bolivar, Jerimie Newcomb of New Franklin, Gabriel Reed of Barberton, Mark Ross of Canton, Mark Seven of Akron, and Michael Sonata of Canton.
