Dianne L. Bray, 77, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away Friday, February 21, 2025.
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of a beloved member of our community. She dedicated ten years of her professional life as an X-ray technician at Akron General Medical Center before embracing the rewarding role of a mother. She took over the family business, the Kenmore Freeze, where she made a significant impact for 31 wonderful years. Her commitment to the Kenmore community was evident through her active involvement with the Kenmore Board of Trade. She was a dedicated member of the Park United Methodist Church family for 67 years. She became a cherished mentor to many young employees at the Kenmore Freeze, fostering friendships that lasted a lifetime.
Her approach to life was marked by an extraordinary enthusiasm, living each day to the fullest. In her retirement, she focused on nurturing her children and grandchildren, creating lasting memories together.
She possessed a remarkable gift for making strangers feel like family, ensuring everyone felt welcomed in her presence. Always eager for new adventures, she embraced every opportunity to create unforgettable experiences. Together with her loved ones, she traveled extensively across the country, visiting all but one state, North Dakota.
Her legacy lives on through the joyful memories and endless activities shared with her family, She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, James Bray; sons, Jamie Bray (Michelle Wetekamp), Patrick (Nicole) Bray, Beau (Brooke) Bray; daughter, Jody (Cody) Roosa. She was known as “Da” to her grandchildren, Molly Roosa, Ryan Roosa, Nathan Roosa, Kennedy Bray, Beckum Bray, Jillian Emery, Jett Bray, Adler Bray, Baylor Bray; cousin, Jeff (Debra) Black; and many other loving family and friends.
Visitation will be Tuesday, February 25, 2025 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Bacher-Moore Funeral Home, 3250 Greenwich Road, Norton, Ohio 44203. A Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am, Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at Park United Methodist Church, 2308 24th Street SW, Akron, Ohio 44314, with Pastor Dave Haydu officiating. Dianne’s final resting place will be Greenlawn Memorial Park.
