BARBERTON A domestic dispute early in the morning April 14 left a Canton man dead on an East Side sidewalk, police say.
Police got a call of gunshots around E Paige Avenue and Third Street NE around 1:24 a.m. and arrived to find Nathan M. Flight, 25, of Canton, on the pavement riddled with gunshot wounds. He was taken to Cleveland Clinic Akron General Medical Center, where he later died from his injuries.
Police found Justice J. Oney, 24, a short distance away and arrested him in the shooting. Police say they found a gun in his vehicle.
Oney was taken to the Barberton City Jail, charged with murder. The Barberton man has a preliminary hearing scheduled for April 22, according to case information on the Barberton Municipal Court website.
Barberton detectives and the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation and Identification are still investigating but police say the shooting appears to have begun in a domestic dispute between Flight, Oney and Oney’s wife.

Why are people shooting people nowadays? Nothing is worth going to jail for. Unless you are homeless and need a place to live.
