Barberton Library seeks board members

BARBERTON The Board of Trustees of the Barberton Public Library is seeking two community members to join the Board who possess a passion for public library service, according to a news release. A Barberton Public Library Trustee must be a registered voter living in Summit County, with Barberton residency preferred. The successful candidates will serve a term which runs through June 2030 or June 2031.
The seven-member Board of Trustees is the governing body authorized by the State of Ohio to establish policies and develop the Library’s annual budget. Board members are volunteers who represent the citizens’ interest while promoting the highest level of library service appropriate to the community, in accordance with state law.
The Library Board of Trustees generally meets on the fourth Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m.
Those interested in serving the community as a Library Trustee are encouraged to submit an application, cover letter, and resume by Oct. 20, 2025.
