Fall temperatures have finally started to creep in. We’ve had the fall leaf colors for some time, but now they are pairing with dropping temperatures. Some mornings we are even greeted by frost on the ground. This week’s events are about just looking into things. And if you’re not going to an event? I hope you go out and enjoy the fall weather. Bookish Craft + Brunch will have you looking into your (or someone else’s) favorite book titles to craft an ornament in advance for the holidays. Take several steps into the past with taking some “Footpaths to Ancient Campsites in Copley Township, Ohio.” Houston Hall will host The Wolf Creek Players for three nights for a comedy show, if you’ve been looking for a laugh. If you want early holiday shopping done or a sweet treat, the Christ Child Society of Akron 56th annual Red Wagon Boutique and Luncheon has it all.

The bookworm — whether you or someone you know — has favorite books. Maybe even by subdivision, for example by plot, characters or covers. You’ll be able to show off your favorite books via this ornament: email your book list to [email protected] so the titles can be printed out for the project. You can bring trinkets to put in the ornament, and there will be charms, ribbon, and more to further customize the ornament. An unexpected gift for the bookworm in your life or a great way to show off your favorite books on the Christmas tree! A brunch of fruit, pastries and coffee and tea will be here too.
