Robert “Keith” Kilgore, 65

Robert “Keith” Kilgore, aged 65, peacefully passed away in the comfort of his home on
August 27, 2023. Born on September 9, 1957, in Barberton, OH, to his mother, Patricia
Hilton of Lexington, KY, and his late father, Bobby Keith Kilgore.
Affectionately known to all as “Keith” he achieved the remarkable feat of graduating
high school at the tender age of 16 in 1975. At just 15 and a half, he embarked on his
professional journey at ACME grocery store, a testament to his early ambition. Through
unwavering dedication and determination, he climbed the ranks within ACME,
eventually attaining the prestigious position of President of the Food Sales division, an
accomplishment rarely seen in our times. With his passing, we bid farewell to an era
marked by his exceptional contributions. In 2019, he retired and embraced his
newfound role as a devoted grandfather.
Keith leaves behind a loving legacy, survived by his cherished wife of 45 years, Gail
Meridith Kilgore, and his three beloved children: Karla (Neal) Hess, Emily Kilgore, and
Adam (Erin) Kilgore. His eight adoring grandchildren, Roman, Willow, Giuliana, Eden,
August, Giovanni, and Evertt, stand as a testament to the love he shared. He is also
survived by his siblings, Beverly (David) Hutson and Layne (Lisa) Kilgore, while his
brother Glen (Amy) Kilgore rests in eternal peace.
Keith lived a life filled with love and adventure, a larger-than-life character to many. He
possessed a heart of immense magnitude and an unshakable calmness that endeared
him to all who knew him. His devotion to his family was boundless, and he spared no
effort in ensuring their lives were filled with greatness. As a husband, father,
grandfather, son, brother, and friend, his gentle strength will forever reside in our hearts.
