Kenneth William Reed, 82

Kenneth William Reed, 82, of Barberton, passed away on Monday, July 20, 2026, at Summa Barberton Hospital with his family by his side.

Bill was born on Sept. 9, 1943, in Wooster to Kenneth and Opal (Condry) Reed and was a 1961 graduate of Norwayne High School. On May 30, 1964, he married Martha Ann Donelson, and they shared 62 wonderful years together. Bill had worked under Laborers Local 894 for many years doing concrete and masonry work and later worked 18 years until retiring for the City of Barberton Street Depart.

Bill was a member of the Hungarian Club in Barberton and had enjoyed fishing, boating and turkey shooting at the Farmers Sportsmen’s Club in Canaan. He was a longtime Cleveland Guardians fan and had loved going to car shows with his 1973 Monte Carlo.

Bill is survived by his wife, Martha; daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Erik Bruning of Norton; grandson, Adam Michel of Norton; brother, Bert Reed of Burbank; sisters, Virginia Crow of Lexington, OH and Sharon Bauman of Jeromesville; sister-in-law, Judy Reed of Burbank, brother-in-law, Dexter “Randy” Donelson of Barberton and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Opal, brother, Robert Reed; sister, Sheila and husband Denny Valentine and sister-in-law, Shelby Reed.

Friends may call on Monday, July 27th from 5-7 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home, 173 S. Main St., Creston, OH. A family graveside services will be held on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at Burbank Cemetery.
