Dora Williams, 106

Dora Williams, 106, passed onto her Heavenly Home on Friday, February 7, 2025. She was born May 23, 1918 in Muhlenberg County, KY, and resided in Norton, OH, for over 70 years.
Dora was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 57 years, Arthur B. Williams: dear son, Arthur Darrel Williams; grandson, Dalton J. Curran; parents Slaton and Birdie Lile, five sisters and one brother.
She is survived by her devoted daughter, roommate and caregiver, Victoria Lynn Curran with whom she resided in Doylestown for 6 years. Also leaving  with wonderful memories are daughter-in-law, Patricia J. Williams, grandchildren, David (Ann) Williams, Kathleen Cordia, Krista (David) Esterle: great-grandchildren, Cory Williams, Daniel Cordia, Stephanie (Jerry) Durieux, Nicholas (Hailey) Esterle: and David A. Nedoh, who along with her daughter, was a constant companion and comforter in her final days. Dora also enjoyed a loving relationship with step-children, Bret (Claudia) Curran and Brian (Kathy) Curran.
Dora dearly loved our Lord and Savior and served Him all her life – as a radio evangelist in the 50’s, and ministering in area churches and nursing homes into her late nineties. She shared the Good News of Salvation to all who would listen… especially when asked the secret of her longevity. She wanted everyone to know the joy and peace that come with accepting Jesus Christ and have the promise of eternal life (Romans 6:23).
Special thanks to Dora’s aide, Cheryl Smith, for her compassionate care for over 6 years, and the Apostolic Christian Village staff who provided a brief, loving home-alternative.
A private family service with Pastors John Castle and Cecil Farmer has taken place with interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park. If desired, memorial donations may be made to Samaritan’s Purse, P.O. Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607, or to the local Salvation Army, 560 Wooster Road West, Barberton 44203.
