Elizabeth Wilma Heffelfinger, 94

Elizabeth Wilma Heffelfinger left this world on December 19th, 2024. She died peacefully in her sleep at Vitas Healthcare after brief complications from COPD & Influenza.

Wilma was born February 22, 1930, in Barberton, Ohio to George & Anna Verbich.

She graduated from Barberton High School, Class of 1948.

On May 3rd, 1958, she married James W. Heffelfinger.  They were together 62 years before James passed August 3rd, 2020.

Wilma was a lifelong Member of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic in Barberton. She served on the Alter & Rosary Society. She enjoyed singing with the choir and working with the other ladies of the church cooking and baking.  She was also a member of the Greek Catholic Union.

In her younger years she enjoyed bowling, golfing, camping, fishing & sewing.

Wilma was predeceased by her parents, George & Anna Verbich, Brother Theodore Verbich and Husband James Heffelfinger.

Wilma is survived by her sister, Pauline Kovalchin of Akron Ohio, Sons James M. & Teresa Heffelfinger of Winter Park FL. David P. Heffelfinger of Orlando FL & Timothy & Jennifer Heffelfinger of Windermere FL. Four Grandchildren, Nicholas, Nathaniel, Megan & Mallory and many other Nieces, Nephews, Family and Friends.

The Family will be having a Church & Graveside service for both Wilma & James in May.
