Thomas “Tom” R. Kozarevic, 86

Thomas “Tom” R. Kozarevic, age 86, a lifelong resident of
Barberton and Wadsworth, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on
Monday, July 21, 2025.
Born March 9, 1939, in Barberton, he was number nine out of ten
children born to Mike and Katherine Kozarevich. Tom was a dearly
loved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle
and friend.
He was an outdoorsman by heart. Tom loved hunting, fishing,
gardening and planting flowers. Later in life, he took up woodworking
and enjoyed puttering in his garage and yard.
His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren;
Andrew, Thomas, Lauren and later in life with Garrett. They each held
a special place in his heart. Being a grandparent changed and
completed him.
Early on, Tom worked as a butcher and later became an educator
teaching at RG Drage Career Center in Massillon, Ohio. After
retirement, traveling throughout the United States with his wife was
his favorite pastime.
He was preceded in death by, Jackie, his loving wife of 58 years.
Our hearts are happy knowing they are reunited in heaven. Also,
preceded in death by sisters, Josephine Hanic, Emma Young, Helen
Klancar and Dorothy Otto; and brothers, Joseph, Bart, George and Ed
Kozarevic.
He is survived by daughter, Jay Anne (Pete) Medure of Cranberry
Twp, Pennsylvania; sons, Thomas Eric Kozarevic of Akron, Ohio and
Todd (Jennifer) Kozarevic of Norton, Ohio; grandchildren, Andrew
(Jerica) Medure, Thomas Medure of Cranberry Twp, Pennsylvania and
Lauren (Sean) Braithwaite of Allison Park, Pennsylvania, Garrett Blaze
of Northfield, Ohio; great-grandchildren, Kaysea Marshall, Sage, Cleo
and Ivy Medure of Cranberry Twp, Pennsylvania; and brother, Frank
Kozarevic of Dallas, Texas. And numerous nieces and nephews, all
who held a special place in his heart.
A special thank you goes out to The Inn at CoalRidge for their
kindness and care given to Tom. And also to Anthony from Harmony
Hospice who
checked in on him and prayed with him routinely. The friendships he
made
there most definitely increased the quality of his life tremendously.
We are
forever grateful!

Family will receive friends Thursday, July 24, 2025 from 10 a.m.
until time of his service at 11 a.m., with Chaplain Anthony Burwell
officiating at the Campfield Hickman Collier Funeral Home 566 West
Park Avenue, Barberton, Ohio 44203. Entombment to follow at
Greenlawn Memorial Park, Akron, Ohio.
