All aboard for Agatha Christie’s ‘Murder on the Orient Express’

BARBERTON Magical Theatre Company invites audiences aboard one of the most famous trains in literary history with its upcoming production of Agatha Christie’s “Murder on the Orient Express,” the classic mystery adapted from Christie’s beloved novel, according to a news release.
Performances will take place Jan. 30-Feb. 7 at Magical Theatre Company, 565 W Tuscarawas Ave., Barberton.
Set in the 1930s, the story follows renowned detective Hercule Poirot as he journeys aboard the luxurious Orient Express. When a passenger is found murdered and the train becomes stranded by snow, Poirot must solve the crime before the killer strikes again.
With a train full of suspects and secrets, the investigation twists and turns toward one of the most surprising endings in mystery theatre, the release states.
The production features a talented ensemble of performers from across Northeast Ohio and beyond, including Adam Hoffman of Cuyahoga Falls, Mark Ross of Canton, Rose Morrison of Barberton, Dimitri Georgiadis of Wadsworth, Noah Casino of Akron, Deb Lemire of Cuyahoga Falls, Kate Clay of Valley View, Hallie Quinn Heffernan of New York City, Amanda Kidd of Kent, Gabe Reed of Barberton, and Steve Boardman of Kent.
The creative team includes Ben Needham, scenic designer; Lance Switzer, lighting designer; Inda Blatch-Geib, costume designer; Jeremiah Isley, sound designer; and Connor Stout, technical director.
Known for its professional productions and commitment to engaging storytelling, Magical Theatre Company continues its season with this suspenseful whodunit that challenges audiences to piece together the clues alongside Poirot, the news release states.
