Barberton Community Easter Egg Hunt free, open to all children

BGNN staff report
BARBERTON City resident Tiffany Mead has spearheaded a Community Easter Egg Hunt in the city. The egg hunt is free and open to anyone and will take place 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 28 along W Tuscarawas Avenue in downtown Barberton.
Here’s what you need to know:
Q. What made you want to create your own Easter egg hunt?
A. “I believe that a community event, such as an Easter Egg Hunt, should be inclusive, free and open to all children of the community. Hopefully in the future this can merge with the Parks Department’s Easter egg hunt and it can grow to a bigger and more interactive event for the community.”
Q. How and where can people donate money to order items still needed or drop off donations?
A. “Anyone who wants to donate can reach out to me directly by emailing [email protected] or drop off donations to one of the five drop off bin locations (Rocky’s Gas, Tan To Go, Embrace Clinic and Care Center, Big Mike’s Automotive or Smilek’s Car Clinic) No donation is too small, there are over 6,000 eggs to fill.”
Q. How/where are the eggs being stuffed?
A. “An egg stuffing event is taking place at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 14 at Barberton Post Acute Care.”
List of participating businesses helping to make this event possible: Atomic Rodeo, Big Mike’s Automotive, Claire’s Garden Market & Florist, El Jalapeño, Liedertafel Club, Wrenchin’ with Walt, Quality Window Solutions, Hibachi King, Barberton Post Acute Care, SOS Sparkle, Brothers Drain Service, Rocky’s Gas Station, Tan To Go, Embrace Clinic and Care Center, Erin’s Studio of Hair and Nail Design, Smilek’s Car Care, Store with a Door Overstock, The Barberton Gazette & Norton News, Poppin’ Cakes
Mead said she would like to extend “A big THANK YOU to the City of Barberton Administration for getting Tusc Road closed for the event!”
